Perform Ability Dance
Welcome to Perform Ability – Creative Dance and Musical Theatre Classes for Young Adults (17–25)
At Red Music + Dance , we believe in the power of dance and music to inspire, uplift, and empower individuals of all abilities. That’s why we have partnered with Perform Ability to run Perform Ability dance + musical theatre at Red in 2026.
Our teachers are trained in how to teach and support people with disabilities and are proud to run the Perform Ability program, which has a proven success record of over 15 years. This program is designed to be inclusive and impactful, with therapy-aligned movement strategies backed by occupational therapists and social skills development guided by speech therapists.
NDIS funds can be used for this program (depending on the individual’s plan), making it accessible to many participants. Together, we create a holistic environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and experience the joy of dance.
What Makes Perform Ability Special?
- Inclusive Program for Young Adults: Our dance programs are tailored to meet diverse needs, ensuring everyone can join in the fun.
- Expert Teachers: Our instructors are specially trained in the Perform Ability program, equipped with the skills and knowledge to support students with disabilities and neurodiversities.
- Free Trial: Experience the joy of dance with a no-obligation free trial session.
- No Uniform Required: Come as you are! Comfy shoes are perfect; dance shoes are optional.
- Fun-Filled Sessions: Our programs combine exciting games with the benefits of dance, including improved coordination, social skills, and self-confidence.
- Flexible Funding Options: For NDIS plan-managed or self-managed participants, programs can be funded using CORE funding (depending on the individual’s plan).
A Class That Puts Your Young Adult First – Our classes put fun first. Confidence, connection, and skills grow naturally when young people feel relaxed and supported and that’s exactly what we focus on.
There’s no expectation for your young adult to join in straight away. Some particpants:
- Prefer to watch and take it all in
- Feel safest staying close to their parent or carer
- Like to explore the space at their own pace
- Join in gradually over time
However your young person shows up on the day is absolutely fine.
